I approach web, software, and hardware design from a performance background - I think of each project as a production, every page a performance. You want your brand to be cohesive, your marketing appropriate to your demographic, and the final product to be innovative, whether you need a website to announce your online presence or an all-platform mobile app to seamlessly integrate into a live production. I have a particular understanding of the technological requirements of creative professions - visual or sound-based portfolio display challenges, the importance of setting yourself apart from creative competition for funding, and the tangled world of consistently-operated interactive tools, used in a variety of environments and responsive to live performers or audience. I believe whole-heartedly in open-source software and digital community sharing, and develop all bespoke hardware and software with a view to create a supportive online database of knowledge relating to performance technology.
I design and create video content from the ground up for installations, events, and performance of all kinds. I have made interactive 3D comic books that come to life on stage, real-time animated English surtitles for opera, ambient projection environments for immersive events, and hand-drawn frame sequences of dinosaurs who love ballet, and I can’t wait to dream up more.
